Operation Christmas Child Benefits Children Around the World!
Hello!! Do you have a heart for children? Would you like to help? You can! I am a year round volunteer for Samaritans Purse and our church, Second Baptist Church of Walworth, is collecting items for "Operation Christmas Child", a Samaritans Purse Project that gives children hope and a chance to know the Gospel. This is a big project and just because it is called Operation Christmas Child it doesn't mean every child will get their shoe box at Christmas. They start distributing at Christmas and distribute all year long. It would be hard to deliver them all at once! Hence our project of collecting throughout the year. National Collection week for all shoe boxes is the week before and the Monday of Thanksgiving. (Monday, November 15 to Monday, November 22 this year.)
------------ Come and join us on Sunday, November 7th at 1 pm to help us pack 200 shoe boxes! A great family project!! ------------
Please contact Mary Stupin at 315-751-4556 if you have any questions about packing the boxes. Or, go to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/pack-a-shoe-box/ to find out what can be packed. The Fellowship Hall, where the packing is being done, has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Thank you. I would like to thank all those who have helped us with this project in one way or another. Many hands make light work. Thank your for helping!! If you have any questions or if you would like more information on how you can help, please contact me at: mestupinocc@gmail.com
Thank you, Mary Stupin / Drop-off Team Leader Volunteer
